REVE

The ink splatter on the black wing looks almost accidental, which gives the whole piece this raw, unfinished feel I adore. It’s now hanging in my reading nook, and the contrast of the white bird against the dark paper draws my eye every time.

I love how the handwritten journal text adds a personal, almost intimate feel to the piece. The contrast between the crisp bird and the soft ink wash really makes it stand out on my wall.

The ink wash texture is really visible up close, which gives the black and white bird a lot more depth than a standard print. I love that the handwritten journal text adds this personal, almost secret touch to the whole composition.
