A painting depicting a seated woman reading a newspaper.

"Two favorite motifs I have are the body and abstract shapes. I often explore where the boundaries go between imaginative and abstract, what distortions and simplifications can be made while maintaining a balance or a feeling in the motif." - Hanna Peterson

Matthew ★★★★★

I love how the seated figure and the newspaper create such a quiet, contemplative scene. The mix of abstract shapes around her makes it feel both modern and timeless—it’s already a conversation piece in my living room.

Joseph ★★★★★

The way the muted greens and browns in the print perfectly match my armchair is uncanny. It’s been up for a week and I keep catching myself staring at how the abstract shapes frame her figure.

Olivia T. ★★★★★

The textured paper stock really captures the subtle brushwork in her dress and the newspaper folds. This piece is already framed above my reading chair.
